Song of the Week! February 17th – Lover Come Back To Me
I’d like to draw your attention to this really neat Canadian artist, Lily Frost. She sings some great songs. Some with a Billie Holiday twist or in this case, she’s got a bit of a Country twangy swing going on that really works. Check it out!
Lose the cool – the non-judgmental Lindy Hopper
About a year ago, I made a conscious decision to change my behaviour at out-of-town dance events. Instead of giving any conscious thought to who I would ask to dance, I started asking the very first leader I laid eyes on. No more contemplation, no chance to size them up or estimate their level of dance experience based on their appearance. The first lead I lay eyes on I now immediately ask to dance. This has changed everything for me!
Song of the Week! February 10th – Black Coffee
Continuing in last week’s vein, here’s another contemporary Lindy Hop music video and swinging song.
Song of the Week! February 3rd – Baby Can Dance
So catchy! I bet you can’t listen just once!

Uncouth but important – Dance Bras!
Does your bra pass the Charleston test?
Song of the Week! Friday, January 27th – Petootie Pie
This is a nice little underplayed song with a good mellow feeling and slow tempo that’s appropriate for new dancers who want to practice. Maybe it doesn’t get much popularity because of the silly name, but I quite like it!
