Here’s an interesting alternate version of Take the “A” Train as sung by Ella Fitzgerald.

It’s only fitting that we prepare for Swing Out To Victory 2012 with the song with the same title by Fats Waller.

Neat — just found this song, with info that it was the basis of Glenn Miller’s hit. In the notes, there’s even reference to another song before this one — called Clarinet Getaway, by the Jimmy O’Bryant Washboard Wonders, 1925.
